I am interested in the study of the mechanisms that influence the predisposition to developing metabolic diseases, especially obesity, diabetes and their complications. I am particularly interested on how these conditions disproportionately affect remote regions and aboriginal or indigenous communities. My fields of interest are cardiovascular health, epigenetics, metabolic memory, polygenic risk scores, metabolomics, genetic engineering and the maintenance of cell identity.”
